BackPorcelain Inlays / Onlays
Porcelain inlays/onlays are tooth-coloured composite fillings that aim to repair a portion of a damaged tooth and prevent the spread of dental caries (cavities). Inlays restore minute injuries in teeth, whereas onlays repair a larger damaged portion of teeth. The end results are attractive and a great alternative to amalgam and metal fillings. Compared to metal and amalgam fillings, inlays and onlays provide exceptional strength to support weakened back teeth.
While inlays/onlays protect a part of an injured tooth, they also match the shade of your surrounding natural teeth, thus enhancing your smile’s aesthetic value. The material used is the same as what dentists use to fabricate dental crowns and dental bridges.
